The Awakening International Base in Hungary officially opened in October 2017 with the passion and vision to see young people from all over the world strengthened in their faith, trained for ministry, and sent out to reach the nations! Since that time, this International Base has become our European ministry hub for such training and equipping, and we have already seen God use it as a stepping stone as He launches individuals into the Harvest.

iNTERNATIONAL bASE
The Base in Hungary, like all other Bases, is multi-functional. Our missionaries there are intentional in bridging regional gaps amongst surrounding countries through networking with national leaders and missionaries, as well as connecting with and creating community amongst emerging leaders. Likewise, our team is involved in daily local ministry in their town of Szigetszentmiklos. It is there where they run a Coffee House, teach English in the local high school, are weekly involved in mercy ministry through their outreach to impoverished gypsy communities, and have partnered with the local church in starting a youth/young adult ministry.

missions Intensive
The Missions intensives are weekends where young leaders gather at the Base to learn, grow, and serve in The Great Commission. It is our hope through the Missions Intensives that students have an opportunity to gain hands-on ministry experience, glean from missionaries and experienced ministers from around the world who serve in a variety of contexts and cultures, and that they will gain practical tools, learn to create and cast vision, and learn to prepare for and overcome common obstacles within missions ministry.

sUMMER INTERNSHIP
The International Base works closely alongside all other branches of ministry within The Awakening, including internship programs and On My Way. As a locational host for our Summer Internship, many individuals have had the opportunity to spend two months under the leadership of our Hungary missionaries where they are not only trained for ministry, but travel to various countries with our staff to help minister in a variety of settings.

cOFFEe HOUSE
The Awakening Base Coffee House officially opened in March 2018 as a venue to build relationships and start conversations about Jesus with the surrounding community. Since that time, the Coffee House doors have opened for just that and so much more as individuals have been able to connect with our staff.
